Abstract
Pour etudier, dans le temps et dans l’espace, les progres de l’ensablement dans plusieurs palmeraies du sud-est du Maroc, nous avions utilise en 1999 deux images SPOT a 9 ans d’intervalle (1986 et 1995). Or des images, aujourd’hui declassifiees, provenant de satellites militaires (entre 1963 et 1980) et d’une image ASTER (2003) sont venues enrichir recemment notre banque de donnees. Ainsi, nous disposons maintenant de 40 annees d’informations satellitales a une resolution spatiale suffisamment fine pour, non seulement mesurer, mais aussi comprendre la dynamique de cet ensablement, comme le montre notre etude dans le secteur d’Hannabou au Tafilalet. Apres differents traitements numeriques de ces images, nous avons obtenu des mesures plus fiables sur l’orientation et la distance parcourue lors de deplacements de dunes poussees surtout par le saheli, vent du SW-NE. Des deplacements moyens d’environ 15 m/an ont ete mesures. Ces recherches ont aussi permis de preciser l’origine souvent locale des sables qui avait ete sous-estimee jusqu’ici.
