Abstract
Inscrit dans une perspective anthropologique de la didactique, le présent article contribue à la description et à la compréhension de ce que font les élèves, chez eux, pour s’acquitter de leurs devoirs scolaires. En quoi consiste le travail personnel des élèves ? Comment organisent-ils leur travail à la maison ? C’est grâce à une enquête par questionnaire, distribué auprès de 600 élèves, que nous tentons de construire une typologie des modes de travail mis en oeuvre par les élèves pour organiser l’étude extrascolaire. Les premiers résultats obtenus mettent l’accent sur la pertinence d’aborder cette question de l’étude à travers les savoirs en jeu et la possible spécificité des disciplines scolaires qui organisent et produisent des pratiques de l’étude.
