Abstract
Né d’une volonté d’extraire l’oeuvre d’art de ses habituels lieux de présentation pour les inscrire dans des contextes insolites, le théâtre in situ délaisse les espaces sanctuarisés de la création. Comme l’ont montré trois spectacles présentés dans l’édition 2010 du Festival TransAmérique de Montréal, il permet au spectateur de vivre une expérience artistique au coeur de la ville. Enquête anthropologique sur ce qui fonde nos rites, notre inconscient collectif et nos sentiments d’appartenance, le théâtre in situ n’est pourtant pas exclusivement une manifestation à ciel ouvert : bouleversement de l’espace urbain, il occasionne parallèlement une plongée en soi qui conduit le sujet à s’interroger sur son rapport à sa propre mémoire ou à son activité sensorielle de citadin.
