La mission par quatre chemins Les origines des vice-provinces grco-catholiques des rdemptoristes belges en Ukraine et au Canada (1879-1919) Rdemptoristes anglophones au QubecQuand on pense l'histoire des missions catholiques romaines au Canada, viennent spontanment l'esprit les activits des oblats de Marie immacule, des recollets, des congrgations qui l'on a dj consacr beaucoup d'tudes.Il arrive frquemment que l'histoire moins connue de la mission des rdemptoristes belges 1 soit nglige, bien que ceci concerne un pisode tout fait passionnant, qui plus qu'on ne le souponnerait, connat une porte internationale. 2Cette contribution ne vise qu' offrir un survol de cette pice d'histoire mconnue.Nous la prsenterons en faisant usage extensif d'archives non encore exploites. 3 En mme temps, nous voulons esquisser une vue d'ensemble des dveloppements tortueux marquant les relations entre la province belge de cette congrgation religieuse et la population canadienne, avec une attention particulire pour les contacts avec les vques canadiens franais. la fin de cette contribution il appa-
