Percepción y producción de acento en alumnos angloparlantes de ELSE en la Argentina: Efectos del entrenamiento y de la inmersión

El presente estudio investiga la percepción y la producción del acento léxico en palabras agudas y graves terminadas en /a e o/ en hablantes nativos de inglés americano que estudian español como L2 en un curso de inmersión en la Argentina, comparándolos con un grupo de hablantes nativos de español rioplatense. Además, explora si los angloparlantes mejoran la percepción y producción del acento en español luego de un breve entrenamiento perceptual con palabras inventadas centrado en los contrastes de acento. Los resultados muestran que los grupos control (N=16) y entrenado (N=16) presentaron dificultades en la identificación del acento en comparación con el grupo nativo de español (N=14) en el pretest. Sin embargo, luego del entrenamiento, el grupo entrenado se comportó de manera similar al grupo nativo mientras que se diferenció del grupo control. El grupo control siguió diferenció del grupo nativo en el posttest. Los resultados de producción demuestran que tanto el grupo control como el entrenado presentaron dificultades al producir el acento en palabras agudas en comparación con el grupo nativo en el pretest y en el posttest; la producción del acento en palabras graves no fue un problema. Se observa un efecto del entrenamiento y de la exposición a la L2 tanto en la percepción como en la producción.
