Abstract

Two-dimensional modeling has been performed on silicon rear-contacted solar cells with laser-fired contact and surface triangle texture by using Crosslight APSYS and CSUPREM. Laser firing is simulated with local heating and aluminum diffusion, and surface texture effect is simulated with ray tracing. It is shown that the cell efficiency can be improved by increasing the concentration of aluminum clusters and the lasing time with the laser firing process. The results are further analyzed with dark current and built-in potential. The surface texture also improves the cell efficiency with enhanced optic absorption. The effect of high lasing power intensity is also discussed.
