Les femmes de lettres, qui publient dans les périodiques ou en volume entre 1893 et 1929, utilisent plusieurs types de signatures, qui constituent autant d’états et d’étapes de l’émergence, puis de la reconnaissance, des pratiques littéraires des femmes dans le champ littéraire canadien-français. Au-delà des motivations et des stratégies individuelles, cet article étudie les différents régimes de signature des femmes de lettres dans une perspective diachronique, en évaluant comment ils sont conditionnés, à divers degrés, par une multitude de facteurs et de forces qui agissent sur le champ. Il montre finalement que ces pratiques reflètent l’évolution des conditions matérielles et symboliques dans lesquelles écrivent les femmes au Québec.
