Abstract
Nous avons voulu savoir, par cette recherche (Dorvil, Morin et Robert, 2001), en quoi et comment le logement est un facteur d’intégration sociale pour les personnes classées malades mentales et les personnes déficientes intellectuelles selon leurs perceptions. Nous avons structuré l’expérience d’habitation des personnes interviewées en trois composantes : le rapport à soi, le rapport au chez-soi et le rapport au monde « hors habitation », reflétant la complexité des liens entre l’intégration sociale et l’espace résidentiel. Cela nous a permis également de relever les similitudes et les différences entre les personnes psychiatrisées et les personnes déficientes intellectuelles.
