Les rumeurs d’offres publiques d’acquisition sont considérées comme des rumeurs financières les plus importantes sur le marché en raison de leurs conséquences qui sont parfois disproportionnées par rapport à la normale tel que le cas de Danone, Suez et Hermès. Notre objectif consiste à évaluer l’impact de ce type de rumeurs sur la liquidité des titres des entreprises cibles cotées sur le marché français. Les résultats des études d’évènement montrent une présence de valeurs anormales des prix, volumes et fourchettes de prix autour de la date d’apparition des rumeurs dans les médias.
