Abstract
En quoi consiste le présent renouveau de la philosophie politique ? Il faudrait distinguer entre un banal retour à ce qui est perçu comme une discipline académique et un retour des « choses politiques ». Pour penser le retour des choses politiques, une interrogation s’impose sur les rapports entre la théorie critique (Theodor W. Adorno, Max Horkheimer, Herbert Marcuse) et la philosophie politique. Si la théorie critique tend au catastrophisme, c’est-à-dire à une association entre la domination et la politique, la philosophie politique, à l’inverse, tend parfois à effacer le phénomène de la domination au profit d’un espace politique conçu sur le modèle d’un échange entre participants égaux. Une philosophie politique critique devrait tenir compte, à la suite de La Boétie, notamment de ce que la domination tend à naître au sein du politique.
