Comment peut-on comprendre et caractériser la communication non verbale, en classe, dans ses effets didactiques ? L’article qui suit s’efforce de développer, dans une perspective exploratoire, une approche spécifique de cette question. À partir d’une étude de cas, l’action du professeur est décrite dans un cadre théorique produit en référence à des notions empruntées à la didactique des mathématiques, et qui intègre des perspectives proxémiques. Pour rendre compte de la manière dont un professeur peut utiliser des ressources proxémiques dans la communication didactique, nous élaborons la notion de consonance/dissonance proxémique, et nous montrons comment une telle notion s’insère dans la théorie du contrat didactique, tout en la prolongeant.
