Abstract
La figura del dios Pan fue objeto de una especial atencion durante el periodo que va de 1890 a 1926 en la literatura inglesa. Consecuencia parcial de esta situacion fue la creacion de uno de los personajes mas importantes de la literatura del siglo XX, Peter Pan, cuestion que ha sido ignorada por el mundo academico casi por completo. Este articulo se propone atender a la importancia del modelo mitologico en el personaje creado por James Matthew Barrie en 1902.
