Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The Nelson River HVDC system consists of two bipoles and supplies 70% of Manitoba Hydro's total power. Manitoba Hydro appointed a Y2K Contingency Planning Working Group and two Task Forces, one for the Power Systems and Operations and the other for the business systems. The function of the Power Systems and Operations Task Force is to test all the equipment for Y2K compliance/readiness and recommend action for the noncompliant equipment. The inventory results showed that there were no critical devices affected by the Y2K problem in bipole 2 and pole 2 of bipole 1. Since 1989 new reactive power compensation equipment has been added/upgraded and the mercury arc valves have been replaced with thyristor valves. The new equipment contains one or more devices that may be affected by the Y2K problem. Most of these devices (90%) are located at Dorsey station. A brief summary of the affected devices is given. The contingency plans for dealing with this equipment are outlined.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
