Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’de üniversite bünyesinde bulunan psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik merkezlerinin niceliksel ve niteliksel özellikleri incelemektir. Bu amaçla Türkiye’de üniversitelerdeki merkezlerde hizmet veren personel sayısı, merkeze başvuran öğrencilerin sayısı ve başvurma nedenleri, merkezlerin uyguladıkları sistemler, örgüt yapıları, fiziksel donanımları, sundukları hizmetler, merkezlerin güçlü ve zayıf yönleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında Gazi Üniversitesi, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, İstanbul Üniversitesi, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, Koç Üniversitesi, Anadolu Üniversitesi, Başkent Üniversitesi ve Bilkent Üniversitesi toplam 8 üniversitenin Psikolojik Danışma ve Rehberlik Merkezi incelenmiştir. Merkezlerin  incelenmesi için araştırmacılar tarafından bu araştırma için geliştirilen “Psikolojik Danışma ve Rehberlik Merkezi İnceleme Formu” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular üniversite psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik hizmetleri ve üniversite öğrencilerinin yaşadıkları problemler çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.
