Abstract
Dans les pays du Sud, depuis le début des années 1970, l'agriculture urbaine fait l'objet d'un nombre croissant d'interventions de la part d'agences publiques et d'organismes non gouvernementaux (ONG). Ces interventions s'inscrivent, en général, dans des projets de développement social pour des populations pauvres identifiées comme bénéficiaires. Certaines initiatives sont toutefois portées par des organisations populaires issues des mouvements sociaux urbains. Associées à une économie sociale, elles s'insèrent dans une dynamique de développement économique communautaire. C'est ce que nous avons observé à l'occasion d'une recherche réalisée auprès de différentes organisations mexicaines.
