L’enfant porteur de trisomie 21 et sa fratrie dans la littérature jeunesse

Abstract
Un corpus de 17 ouvrages francophones s’adressant à des enfants de 3 à 12 ans, abordant explicitement la question de la trisomie 21 (T21) et publiés entre 1995 et 2011, sont soumis à une première analyse de contenu thématique qui porte sur les représentations de l’enfant porteur de handicap (caractéristiques physiques, capacités intellectuelles et sociales). Une seconde analyse se centre sur la spécificité des relations fraternelles et plus particulièrement sur la place de la fratrie du sujet porteur de handicap. Les résultats de cette analyse débouchent sur l’examen des rapports entre les représentations mises à jour, la fonction pédagogique attendue des ouvrages de jeunesse et les données de la littérature scientifique consacrée aux relations familiales au sein des familles d’enfants porteur de T21.
