Abstract
Les géographes s'appliquent depuis plus d'un siècle à l'étude des espaces locaux, ce qui les met au défi d'expliquer les bouleversements récents entraînés par le mode post-keynésien de régulation et par le dualisme économique et social qui en résulte. L'auteur s'appuie sur la théorie de la régulation pour expliquer les nouveaux rapports sociaux qui émergent dans les espaces locaux, les nouveaux modes de gestion de ces espaces et les mécanismes qui les articulent aux espaces nationaux et transnationaux. Deux exemples illustrent la dimension spatiale du dualisme social et économique, notamment en ce qui concerne le rôle du local comme lieu de recomposition de la société de l'après-crise.
