Abstract
Utilisant des données recueillies au moyen d’un questionnaire, les auteurs examinent les rôles joués par les directions d’école du Québec dans la relation école-commission scolaire. Tout en acceptant le lien de dépendance institutionnelle vis-à-vis de la commission scolaire, dont elles voudraient atténuer quelque peu certaines manifestations (celles de la subordination), les directions d’écoles se percevraient comme les dirigeants d’une entité organisationnelle ayant ses exigences propres. Par ailleurs, sauf pour le rôle de subordonné, les adjoints voudraient intervenir davantage dans les relations école-commission scolaire.
