Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present the first results on the Dalitz-plot structure and improved measurements of the time-dependent $CP$-violation parameters of the process ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}$ obtained using $468\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}\text{ }\text{ }B\overline{B}$ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $B$ factory at SLAC. The Dalitz-plot structure is probed by a time-integrated amplitude analysis that does not distinguish between ${B}^{0}$and ${\overline{B}}^{0}$ decays. We measure the total inclusive branching fraction $\mathcal{B}({B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0})=(6.19\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.48\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.15\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.12)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third represents the Dalitz-plot signal model dependence. We also observe evidence for the intermediate resonant states ${f}_{0}(980)$, ${f}_{0}(1710)$, and ${f}_{2}(2010)$. Their respective product branching fractions are measured to be $({2.70}_{\ensuremath{-}1.19}^{+1.25}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.36\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.17)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$, $({0.50}_{\ensuremath{-}0.24}^{+0.46}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.04\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.10)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$, and $({0.54}_{\ensuremath{-}0.20}^{+0.21}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.03\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.52)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$. Additionally, we determine the mixing-induced $CP$-violation parameters to be $\mathcal{S}=\ensuremath{-}{0.94}_{\ensuremath{-}0.21}^{+0.24}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.06$ and $\mathcal{C}=\ensuremath{-}0.17\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.18\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.04$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. These values are in agreement with the standard model expectation. For the first time, we report evidence of $CP$ violation in ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}$ decays; $CP$ conservation is excluded at 3.8 standard deviations including systematic uncertainties.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
