Cet article s'intéresse de façon exploratoire à l'articulation entre la gestion de la classe et l'apprentissage de la compréhension en lecture dès lors qu'on s'inscrit dans une perspective interactionniste, la classe étant conçue en tant que communauté d'apprenants. Nos recherches s'appuient sur des évaluations externes qui révèlent des difficultés des élèves en lecture pour construire des dispositifs intitulés « Cercles de lecture » stimulant dès l'école primaire l'interprétation fine des textes. Leur faisabilité est étroitement liée à des aspects de gestion de la classe. Nous envisageons cette question à partir d'expériences menées avec des enseignants en place et en formation initiale.
