Abstract
Nikolski de Nicolas Dickner est un roman d’apprentissage où l’émancipation et l’autodétermination des trois protagonistes sont motivées par l’absence de liens familiaux. Comme les processus d’émancipation de ces personnages non stéréotypés sont essentiellement déterminés par les lieux où ils s’aventurent, cet article se concentre sur l’étude de ces lieux qui se présentent comme des espaces de l’entre-deux, où l’inconnu et le familier se rencontrent, et qui donnent lieu à des rendez-vous inattendus qui changent le cours de la vie des personnages. La notion de zone de contact, qui permet l’étude approfondie des effets créés par les lieux liminaires et les rencontres entre les personnages, se trouve à la base de cette analyse.
