La perception de la difficulté des examens peut influencer l’évaluation des cours chez certains étudiants. En effet, la théorie de Witkin sur les styles cognitifs permet d’identifier les traits caractéristiques des étudiants « dépendants du champ » et « indépendants du champ ». Aussi, ceux-ci étant plus cohérents sur le plan cognitif que ceux-là, éprouvent un plus grand besoin d’ajuster leur évaluation des cours à leur perception du degré de difficulté des examens. Les résultats de cette recherche appuient en partie cette hypothèse.
