Amenity Migration and Mountain Tourist Destinations competitivety in Western Canada\nand Northern Patagonia, Argentina. The purpose of this research proposal is to analyze the\nexperience of a group of Canadian mountain tourist destinations -mainly in the provinces of Alberta\nand British Columbia- which are facing amenity migration processes through a comparative study with\na group of mountain destinations in Argentina�s Northern Patagonia in order to promote guidelines for\nlocal development of mountain tourist destinations of the Northern Patagonia. These destinations\nprofitability crisis causes and consequences are analyzed as well as the possibilities to consider\ntourism as a way to ensure social and economic development
