Abstract
This special issue of the African Journal of Science/Technology/Innovation and Development (AJSTID) brings out the findings of four case studies in three African countries, Mozambique, Senegal and South Africa which were undertaken for the project, 'Building Capacity to Develop and Use Science/Technology and Innovation Indicators', funded by Canada's International Development Research Centre (IORC), and managed by UNU-MERIT, The Netherlands.
