A novel digitally controlled low noise ring oscillator
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This paper presents a digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) with a novel architecture. The proposed DCO achieves low noise operation without the need for an LC resonator or specialized radio frequency (RF) process layers. Frequency tuning is achieved by controlling capacitive coupled charge injection. The design is easily integrated with digital CMOS circuits and has the flexibility to be scaled to other processes or tuned for specific applications. A proof of concept circuit has been implemented on a 0.13 mum CMOS process. The tuning range is from 820 MHz to 1.09 GHz. The phase noise at 1GHz with an offset frequency of 100 KHz is -92.8 dBc/Hz. The worst case cycle-to-cycle jitter is less than 1.28% with an RMS jitter of 1.7423 ps. Total power consumption is 6.12 mW.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
