Résumé L’article s’adresse principalement à des personnes vivant en couple et dont le conjoint est susceptible de se voir proposer un emploi à l’étranger. Ces personnes se demandent généralement si elles doivent suivre leur conjoint à l’étranger ; ce que leur conjoint et son employeur peuvent faire pour les appuyer ou pour aider les enfants à s’intégrer ; s’il est possible de tenir compte de la situation du couple et plus largement de la famille dans cette décision de l’expatriation ; comment faire pour que l’expatriation soit une occasion de développement pour tous les membres de la famille ; comment éviter un retour prématuré et accroître les retombées positives et le succès du séjour. Voilà autant d’interrogations sur lesquelles cet article se penche et offre matière à réflexion.
