Abstract
Cet article prolonge les réflexions habituelles sur les jeunes de la rue en s’intéressant à une alternative possible à la vie de rue, c’est-à-dire à la sortie de la rue. Cette dernière est abordée en termes de processus dynamique et paradoxal, de passage d’un mode de vie (celui de la rue) à un autre. La perspective proposée invite à nuancer les approches en termes de délinquance ou de comportement à risque pour comprendre davantage le sens que le jeune, en tant qu’acteur, attribue à la vie de rue et au processus de sortie. Il s’agit de déplacer le discours sur la sortie de la rue, souvent perçue en termes de résultat (comme objectif d’intervention), en reconnaissant l’importante part de l’acteur dans ce processus.
