La spécificité de la position freudienne pose l'enjeu éthique d'un lieu autre où la problématique du sujet est appelée à s'énoncer en théologie et en psychanalyse. L' après-coup explicite cette orientation en analysant certains mouvements et stratégies qui animent un désir de mort à l'endroit de la théologie et de la psychanalyse. Les rapports entre théologie et psychanalyse reproduisent aussi ces écueils qu'il convient de préciser pour éviter les voies d'impasse de la réduction ou de l'assimilation de l'une à l'autre. Une relecture des articles du numéro permet de dégager des malentendus qui peuvent devenir féconds si lectrices et lecteurs s'ouvrent à la dimension d'un sujet de l'inconscient en tension avec la subjectivité en théologie.
