Abstract
Desde 2000 tenho observado uma congregacao de Espiritualista em Montreal, a IgrejaEspiritual da Cura. Os membros, geralmente criados como Catolicos, muitas vezes experimentam a transformacao espiritual significativa pela sua participacao na IgrejaEspiritual da Cura. Contudo, isso nao afeta o seu sentido da pertinencia religiosa.Alem disso, os santos, as crencas e o simbolismo catolicos sao onipresentes nos rituaise nas outras atividades religiosas da Igreja Espiritual da Cura, bem como no discursode membros. A analise apresentada aqui ajuda a compreender a hibridez religiosacontemporânea e mostra como as formas Catolicas passadas na paisagem religiosade Quebec sao no presente.
