The Combustion of Bio-Gases and Low Heating Value Gaseous Fuel Mixtures
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Abstract The presence of diluents such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen with methane lowers significantly the effective heating value of the fuel mixture and can bring about adverse changes to the combustion characteristics of the methane. It may undermine its effective utilization altogether depending on the composition, the type of device used, and the associated operating conditions. Such fuel mixtures are often encountered with varying composition in numerous natural, industrial, and bio-gases. They represent a potential energy source that needs to be exploited effectively. This contribution discusses primarily how the presence of such diluent gases with methane modifies significantly the thermodynamic, kinetic, and combustion characteristics of the fuel in air. It is shown that the presence with methane of nitrogen is tolerated relatively much better in combustion systems than the corresponding similar presence of carbon dioxide. The bases for these trends are discussed with examples of some operational considerations. Keywords: Bio-gas combustionLow heating value gas mixtures

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
