Advancements in wireless technologies and mobile networks are increasing the demands for novel mobile services beyond voice and text-messaging applications. However, discovering such services from any device is still a major challenge. This can be considered from two perspectives: the variety of mobile devices available and the lack of service descriptions. In order to address these issues, in this paper we present an ontology-based framework for discovering the most relevant mobile services with respect to user preferences and device capabilities. We provide a semantically enriched profile-based service description and integrate it with the Delivery Context Ontology, a rich ontology recently released by the W3C. The content-rich data layer enables us to perform a variety of tasks: discovery, personalization, adaptation and automatic execution of mobile services with maximum degree of user satisfaction.
