Abstract
Dans le champ du contrôle de l’usage des drogues illicites, la réduction des méfaits est souvent pensée comme une troisième voie en regard des logiques traditionnelles du prohibitionnisme et du thérapeutique orienté vers l’abstinence. L’analyse comparative de ces trois logiques amène les auteurs à établir les limites de la rupture induite par la réduction des méfaits. Par la cartographie du territoire que colonise la réduction des méfaits, s’aperçoit non pas la disqualification du prohibitionnisme et du thérapeutique, mais l’extension des dispositifs de contrôle. Après avoir conduit cette analyse et commenté certains effets du concubinage des trois logiques, les auteurs présentent plusieurs thèses sociologiques permettant de signifier les succès politiques de la réduction des méfaits. Quelques interprétations de ces succès sont proposées.
