Abstract
L'entrée sur le marché du travail des adolescents fait actuellement l'objet d'un intérêt croissant, entre autres en relation avec la problématique du décrochage scolaire. Les recherches effectuées sur ce sujet indiquent que le travail des jeunes présente un certain nombre d'effets pervers, et que les vertus qui lui sont conférées ne résistent pas toutes à l'examen, en fonction des besoins des adolescents. Cet article traite de la problématique générale des effets du travail des adolescents en relation avec les caractéristiques du marché de l'emploi et des enjeux spécifiques au développement à l'adolescence.
