La socio-anthropologie du backpacking et du tourisme ne s´est guère penchée sur le sens sociologique de la pratique backpacker. Cet article entend palier cette insuffisance en présentant une typologie des expériences backpacker prenant en compte le sens que cette pratique prend pour les individus qui les vivent et les narrent. Le sens que ces backpackers confèrent au backpacking est ici examiné à l´aulne de sa signification pour la culture dont proviennent les backpackers.Une attention spéciale est portée à l´injonction identitaire performationnelle et à la question de l´authenticité.; La socio-antropología del backpacking y del turismo nunca se ha preocupado realmente del sentido sociológico de la práctica backpacker. Este artículo pretende paliar este problema, presentando una tipología de experiencias backpacker, tomando en cuenta el sentido que esa práctica toma para aquellos individuos que las viven y las narran. Examinamos aquí el sentido que dichos backpackers confieren al backpacking, desde el punto de vista del significado para la cultura de la que provienen los backpackers. Se adjudica una atención especial al mandato de identidad de performance y a la cuestión de la autenticidad.
