Abstract
Les auteurs exposent ici les motifs - d’abord économiques - qui ont présidé à l’introduction des études québécoises en Inde, puis les modalités d’intégration de cette nouvelle matière aux études francophones offertes par les départements de français. À l’aide d’un rapport établi par Fernand Harvey et Joseph Melançon en 1990, l’article fournit un bref rappel des premières initiatives en matière d’études canadiennes en Inde et s’attache ensuite aux travaux entrepris depuis lors. Les thèses de maîtrise et de doctorat, les congrès ou les conférences effectués dans le domaine des études québécoises sont consignés selon les Centres d’études françaises où ont été menées les recherches.
