Dans cet article, il est rendu compte, à l’aide d’une étude de cas, de certaines pratiques orthodidactiques du français préconisées dans le programme de formation du baccalauréat en adaptation scolaire et sociale de l’Université de Sherbrooke. Il s’agit d’une expérience de terrain vécue par une étudiante sous la supervision d’une des autrices de ce texte. Elle s’est déroulée à la Clinique Pierre-H. Ruel, lieu d’apprentissage du département d’adaptation scolaire et sociale où l’occasion est donnée aux étudiantes et étudiants de diagnostiquer des difficultés d’apprentissage d’élèves du primaire ou du secondaire — en l’occurrence en français —, d’en préciser la nature et de préparer des interventions adéquates afin de remédier aux difficultés.
