Abstract

Cet article présente les résultats d’une recherche qualitative par entrevues semi-structurées portant sur les conceptions éducatives des nouveaux professeurs d’université au Québec (Canada). Notre réflexion et notre analyse des conceptions éducatives s’inspirent du constructivisme. Les résultats font voir que les conceptions éducatives des nouveaux professeurs au sujet de l’apprentissage et de l’enseignement peuvent constituer des obstacles importants à leur développement pédagogique et à leurs relations à l’enseignement et à l’apprentissage. Relativement à la formation à l’enseignement de ces nouveaux professeurs, une approche innovatrice, non centrée sur la traditionnelle connaissance des techniques et activités d’enseignement, mais plutôt sur la relation entre la pratique enseignante et la réflexion sur l’enseignement, serait plus pertinente si elle prenait en compte les conceptions des nouveaux professeurs.
