Abstract
S’appuyant sur le cas d’un jeune demandeur d’asile africain, l’auteur montre comment un tatouage, changé de valence par des préjugés idéologiques, peut passer du statut de signifiant de filiation à celui de signifiant de dénégation, portant alors non plus la reconnaissance d’une origine digne, mais celle d’une transmission déshonorante. Dans la première partie, l’article examine quelques-uns des paramètres sociaux qui font du tatouage une écriture du désir. Il procède ensuite à l’examen de cette signature quand elle devient désastreuse pour le sujet en proie à l’errance. Il dégage ensuite quelques tracés surgis durant les séances analytiques pour en venir à montrer comment se joue progressivement une réappropriation de l’humanité.
