Les élections de Conseils d’élèves : méthode d’endoctrinement au libéralisme politique

Abstract
Ce texte analyse le phénomène des élections de Conseils d’élèves au Québec et porte une attention particulière aux objectifs politiques que poursuit explicitement l’État à travers cette pratique, soit : 1) inculquer aux jeunes l’idée selon laquelle le vote est la pratique démocratique par excellence ; 2) former les jeunes à cette pratique ; 3) encourager le respect des jeunes à l’égard du système politique. La discussion repose sur une analyse du discours officiel au sujet des élections de Conseils d’élèves ainsi que des slogans électoraux produits par les élèves. Le discours officiel est replacé dans un contexte historique et philosophique pour conclure que l’approche de l’État relève d’un choix idéologique qui cherche à accroître la légitimité de l’autorité politique libérale.
