Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Synthetic, polycrystalline samples of alunite [K0.88(H3O)0.12Al2.64(SO4)2(OH)4.92(H2O)1.08] and oxonium-substituted alunite [H3OAl2.87(SO4)2(OH)5.61(H2O)0.39] have been investigated using incoherent, inelastic neutron-scattering (IINS) methods in or-der to determine the nature of the non-OH “H2O”. IINS measurements were made on non-deuterated samples at 20 K using the HRMECS chopper spectrometer with 250 and 600 meV incident energies. Alunite and oxonium-substituted alunite exhibit simi-lar spectral features over the energy range of 120–550 meV, where assignments for local vibrations can be made based on the presence of OH and H2O groups. Salient differences in the intensities and positions of the observed low-energy vibrational bands reflect the effects of chemical substitution on the structural environment of the monovalent cation site and neighboring Al and OH sites in the framework.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
