Abstract
La alta riqueza natural de Canada ha hecho que el tema ambiental tenga un rol importante en las agendas tanto del orden nacional como del internacional y ha sido ademas objeto de multiples estudios academicos y de preocupaciones netamente civiles en torno a las problematicas que se presentan. La situacion no es lejana a la que se presenta en Colombia, considerado uno de los paises mas ricos del mundo en materia de recursos naturales, pero que requiere conocer cada vez mas experiencias que le permitan dilucidar soluciones para las problematicas ambientales que enfrenta, si se tiene en cuenta, ademas, la situacion de conflicto existente que amenaza de forma considerable la seguridad ambiental.
