Abstract
À partir de données ethnographiques collectées auprès de nouvelles musulmanes rencontrées en France et au Québec, nous examinons le processus de conversion comme une forme d’herméneutique (Foucault). Nous montrons que la performance religieuse constitue une technique du soi qui, par la discipline du corps, vise à restaurer l’individu comme sujet éthique et acteur social. De ces religiosités contemporaines découlent de nouvelles conceptions du corps, de la santé et de la guérison perçues selon une vision holistique.
