Abstract
La participation est analysée ici, sur base d‘études de cas, comme un processus de circulation : l’action collective fait circuler des questions controversées entre des sphères (locale, globale, sectorielles, scientifiques, politiques). Cette circulation permet à la fois de reformuler des connaissances et de redéfinir des normes ; son efficience tient alors à sa capacité à constituer de nouveaux collectifs de prise en charge de l’environnement et elle appelle une autre vision, appelée expérimentaliste, des politiques publiques.
