Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A write head design with pedestal-defined throat and flat-top pole is presented. The flat-top pole design enables critical dimension control and extendibility to narrower feature size. Write head performance improves further by implementing a single-layer six-turn, closely packed coil with yoke length of 14 /spl mu/m and incorporating a sputtered high moment material on both top and bottom poles. With write current of 40 mA, better than 35 dB overwrite and less than 16% (-16dB) nonlinear transition shift can be achieved on the medium with coercivity of 4400 Oe and Mrt of 0.32 memu/cm/sup 2/ at areal densities up to 60 Gb/in/sup 2/.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
