Abstract

O presente estudo identifica-se como um relato de experiência, com abordagem qualitativa.Tem como objetivo fazer uma reflexão sobre a eficiência e a eficácia da inter-relação entre o cuidado de enfermagem e a acupuntura, no tratamento à pessoa obesa. Os dados foram coletados através de protocolo previamente elaborado, que constavam de questões tanto objetivas quanto subjetivas do estado físico e emocional do paciente como também exame físico. Concomitante, a esta coleta de dados, foram aplicados os conhecimentos da Medicina Tradicional Chinesa, através do uso da acupuntura. Percebeu-se que, durante as sessões, a paciente seguia o tratamento como sugerido e referenciava constantemente seu estado emocional. Através do cuidado de enfermagem e da acupuntura realizada, conseguiu-se o restabelecimento energético, que possibilitou, além da diminuição do peso, o equilíbrio emocional.
