Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We combine searches by the CDF and D0 Collaborations for the standard model Higgs boson with mass in the range $90--200\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$ produced in the gluon-gluon fusion, $WH$, $ZH$, $t\overline{t}H$, and vector boson fusion processes, and decaying in the $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}b\overline{b}$, $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{W}^{+}{W}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}ZZ$, $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, and $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ modes. The data correspond to integrated luminosities of up to $10\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ and were collected at the Fermilab Tevatron in $p\overline{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{TeV}$. The searches are also interpreted in the context of fermiophobic and fourth generation models. We observe a significant excess of events in the mass range between 115 and $140\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$. The local significance corresponds to 3.0 standard deviations at ${m}_{H}=125\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$, consistent with the mass of the Higgs boson observed at the LHC, and we expect a local significance of 1.9 standard deviations. We separately combine searches for $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}b\overline{b}$, $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{W}^{+}{W}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, and $H\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{\gamma}$. The observed signal strengths in all channels are consistent with the presence of a standard model Higgs boson with a mass of $125\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
