Abstract
S’appuyant sur les récents travaux des philosophes Jürgen Habermas et Jean-Marc Ferry, cet article présente les conditions et exigences de la société postséculière, celle où la religion et la raison publique ne sont plus dans un rapport d’exclusion réciproque mais plutôt dans un rapport de reconnaissance mutuelle. L’auteur profite de récents dossiers d’actualité pour illustrer les assises philosophiques de chacune de ces perspectives, celle d’une vision typiquement libérale menant à la privatisation du religieux, celle d’une vision alimentée par le républicanisme kantien menant à une re-publicisation du religieux.
