In this paper, analog signal processing is used to obtain phase and amplitude measurements in microwave and millimeter-wave applications. Six-ports used in direct conversion receivers and radars at 28 and 94 GHz, were designed in our laboratory and fabricated in various technologies as monolithic hybrid microwave integrated circuit (MHMIC), monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) or micromachined waveguides in metal blocks. This paper presents a new method and results of analog signal treatment applied in six-port technology that can be used to obtain a low-cost vector analyzer, a phase shift key (PSK) demodulator or a radar sensor. Analog signal treatments in six-port technology for phase and amplitude measurements offer a unique advantage by reducing circuit complexity and increasing the speed of the signal treatment.
