Abstract
Après avoir situé la Conférence internationale sur la population et le développement qui s'est tenue au Caire en septembre 1994 par rapport à celles qui l'ont précédée, l'auteur se penche sur quelques aspects de la stratégie d'intervention des Nations Unies adoptée à cette occasion, en particulier la question des droits reproductifs et l'égalité entre les femmes et les hommes. L'auteure propose quelques pistes de réflexion et de discussion en ce qui a trait aux actions entreprises par la communauté internationale en vue de résoudre le « problème » de la croissance démographique.
