Abstract
Dans le théâtre de Michel Tremblay, la peau est un tissu de désir, c’est la pellicule du rêve d’un Moi authentique. L’auteur de cet article examinera trois manifestations de cette peau chez les personnages travestis : l’enveloppe de maquillage, l’enveloppe olfactive et l’enveloppe textile. Cette identification lui permettra d’analyser la tension que Tremblay met en place entre la peau organique et la peau psychique. Cette tension est au coeur des interrogations menées par le dramaturge sur l’identité gaie masculine et plus particulièrement, sur l’identité du travesti.
